Avena is proudly displaying the blue ribbon that her cows won at the "Animal Fair" at school on Wednesday. They've been learning all about farms this week. On Tuesday, they built and painted a big cardboard barn, and on Wednesday all of the kids brought animals for the fair. Avena brought two plastic cows that she has always referred to as "Cow" or "Cow-ee." At the fair she introduced them to her classmates as Hillary and Clinton. She kills me. We're keeping an eye on the cows for signs of political ambition.
