While t.v. reception is highly variable here, there is one thing you can always count on: Africa Magic. Africa Magic is a network that carries African-made programming almost exclusively. Their favorite genre is two-part serials that involve lots of romance, sorcery, and spells. The same people star in their productions over and over, so when you watch it (and I do) it feels like you're watching a very bad soap opera. So, one of the best (worst?) storylines during our stay involves two "little people." Naturally, they get into all kinds of wacky situations, but by far the weirdest was the episode where they somehow ended up in an orphanage and some nice people, thinking they were babies, adopted them! Only on Africa Magic.
