As you know, we've been waiting for Avena's birth mom to be issued a form of government identification so that the US Embassy is satisfied that the woman who signed the adoption documents is the woman they've met and interviewed. Her passport is now ready! This is very exciting. We will be at the Embassy very early tomorrow morning. There is no guarantee (they may ask us for something else) but there's a chance that they will approve Avena's Visa tomorrow. If that is the case, they still have to print the Visa, but that doesn't take too long (a couple days). I can't even contemplate the thought of coming home - it's too exciting.
