Running Errands

Women in Africa work hard - really hard. This is what running errands looks like in Ghana. This woman is walking along the beach (kind of like a highway here) from where she lives to the town of Elmina, where she will likely procure necessary supplies for the day. The basket will hold food, the big bowl will be used to prepare it, and small buckets like the one she's carrying will likely hold water and/or fish. All this, with a baby on her back. You can see how misty the air is today - storms are blowing over the southern part of Ghana, and we've had lots of thunder and lightning. We haven't hit the rainy season, yet, though.
