You have not witnessed crazy happiness until you've seen Avena eat prunes. Yesterday was her first day of baby food and I'm pretty sure she would consider it the best day of her life. When the spoon gets near her mouth she grabs it with both hands and holds on for dear life. Next time I feed her she will not be on my lap and I think I'll have to strip her down - there were prunes everywhere when we were done. Yes, my hair is huge in this photo - I had been riding in the back of a car going 70 mph with all the windows down for almost three hours.
